| To recognize, encourage and reward excellence in teaching and exemplary achievement in scholarship of teaching, the Faculty of Education Studies (FES) is inviting nominations of teachers in FES for
The awards, in the form of individual or group awards, are conferred at the Faculty level. Each award consists of a trophy and a monetary award of HK$25,000 to be used by the awardee solely for educational activities. |

All full-time academic/teaching staff who are:
- Within Faculty of Education Studies [i.e. Departments of Curriculum & Instruction (C&I), Early Childhood Education (ECE), Education Policy and Leadership (EPL), International Education and Lifelong Learning (IELL), Psychological Studies (PS) and Special Education and Counselling (SEC)]
- With a minimum of two years of teaching experience in the Institute at the time of nomination.

Nominations may be made by either of the following via the Nomination Form:
- Any group of at least five students who may include current students or graduates; or
- Any group of at least three full-time academic/teaching staff; or
- Head of Department.
Hardcopy of the Nomination Form is available at:
- Programme Office of Faculty of Education Studies at D1-G/F-02
- Departmental General Offices
The nomination form should be returned to the Head of the nominee’s department on or before 25 January 2012. Please refer to the time schedule for the whole process. |

- Excellence in Teaching Award: show evidence of excellence in teaching across a variety of teaching contexts, including teaching strategies, facilitation of student learning and adoption of effective assessment strategies, and over a sustained period.
- Scholarship of Teaching Award: involves the purposeful construction of a community in which faculty can converse about the creation, dissemination and application of research on teaching and learning to enhance both student learning and faculty experience with teaching.
