Dean's Message

It gives me a great pleasure to introduce the Faculty of Education Studies. Our Faculty is committed to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and research through the dedication of a professional, international team of around 250 academic and administrative staff in Departments, Centres and a Programme Office:

Our high quality teaching team covers a wide range of expertise from early years, primary and secondary teacher education to professional development for school management personnel. Academic staff members are active in research activities as well as providing consultancy services to schools and education organizations. We work in close collaboration with local schools and early childhood centres and we also have strong network and partnership with overseas education institutions.

The Faculty of Education Studies is the main provider of quality early childhood education and special needs teacher education programmes in Hong Kong. A wide spectrum of pre-service and in-service programmes in these two areas include professional development courses, sub-degree programmes, undergraduate programmes, post-graduate diploma in education programmes, and a master degree offered by the Department of Early Childhood Education.
