Dean's Message

It gives me a great pleasure to introduce the Faculty of Education Studies. Our Faculty is committed to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and research through the dedication of a professional, international team of around 260 academic and administrative staff. The Faculty comprises 6 teaching departments, 7 centres and a programme office as follows:

Our high quality teaching team covers a wide range of expertise from early years, primary and secondary teacher education to professional development for school management personnel. Academic staff members are active in research activities as well as providing consultancy services to schools and education organizations. We also work in close collaboration with them and have strong network and partnership with overseas education institutions.

The Faculty of Education Studies is the main provider of quality early childhood and special needs teacher education programmes in Hong Kong. We offer a wide spectrum of pre-service and in-service programmes including doctoral, master's and undergraduate degrees, postgraduate diploma, higher diploma and professional development programmes.
