Vision 願景

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction strives for the excellence of its teaching, research and scholarship and seeks to play a leading role in areas of curriculum, assessment, classroom practice and classroom management in Hong Kong, the Region and the wider world community.

課程與教學學系致力在教育、學術研究及學術著作方面取得傑出成就，並奮力成為引領香港、亞太地區以及國際社會中「課程發展」、「評估」、「課堂教學」及「課堂管理」各範疇的教育部門。

We strive to be recognized as an international locus of excellent research and teaching, in the specific areas of curriculum development and reform, pedagogy, and assessment for learning. We are committed to provide quality support to our students and local schools in their professional development and lifelong learning, and to serve our professional community through collaboration and partnerships that contribute to the development and improvement of educational policies and practices.

我們努力在「課程發展與改革」、「教學法」和「促進學習的評估」等學術領域成為國際教育研究中心。學系為本校學生及本地教師提供所需支援，為其締造專業發展和終身學習的理想環境，並透過參與、合作等形式，務求對教育政策和教學實踐的發展作出更大的貢獻。

Academic Areas 學術領域

We have a strong track record of providing high quality teaching and research in areas of curriculum, teaching and assessment, with an emphasis on theory-informed practice. As an academic department in the leading teacher education institute, we offer numerous courses for prospective teachers and professional upgrading courses for serving teachers in the primary and secondary sectors in particular. We are committed to provide participants with a learning environment that is stimulating, reflective, and engaging. Our flagship programme includes the MEd in Curriculum and Innovative Teaching, and MEd in Assessment and Evaluation. These programme focus on crucial aspects of education today: curriculum reform, development of pedagogical strategies, assessment reform, and evaluation theories that encourage students to become committed professionals, effective problem-solvers and autonomous learners.

我們在「課程」、「教學」和「評估」等研究領域擁有一批高水準的學術項目和研究課題，並注重理論為基礎的實踐活動。作為引領教師教育的學術部門，我們為矢志從事教育工作的准教師和在職的中小學教師提供豐富的專業和進修課程，並營造理想的學習環境，激勵他們探索新知，反思平日的教學實踐。本學系教育碩士學位下的「課程與創新教學」和「評估與評鑒」課程已蜚聲國際，學術專案和研究課題以當今教育領域的重大現實問題和基礎理論問題為中心，並在「課程改革」、「教學法的發展」、「評估改革」，以及「評鑒理論」等研究領域形成了特色。我們鼓勵並引導學生在其學科範疇奠立堅實基礎，掌握實際生活所需的終身學習技巧。
